Making a Statement

A bold, statement necklace is like a cherry on top to your outfit. It instantly jazzes up any casual t-shirt and make you look more put together. Picked up these two from Forever 21 last week.

On going

With Zara's sale still going, I picked up a green loose dress that came with a weaved brown belt and a red tribal-esque linen tank.

Starfish obsession continues
A trip to the government's office in Sham Shui Po early in the morning turned out to be a little DIY shopping trip. I never really wander there just to look at stuff (except for the time I had a group project and we needed to collect fabric samples) But I've always wanted to make bracelets instead of buying them, because A) you get to pick, choose and match your desired colors and B) buying bracelets can also get very pricy. From what I see on instagram and fashion blogs, it also seems to be really trendy to pile and stack on multiple bracelets. Can't wait to go back there and get inspired again.

Also purchased a sparkly iPhone case that reminded me of a mermaid's tail.

warehouse sale

Went a little Rvca crazy at the Electric Sekki Sale last week. Reason being that I can't find any Rvca clothes in HK, except in Island Awake located in Causeway Bay and they don't even carry that much, so I was genuinely surprised when they had a huge box full of it. I rummaged like a crazy woman and managed to find these tops and a pair of $80 Havis! Score!

from left to right
1. purple long sleeved loose fitted rvca top
2. rvca grey sheer asymmetrical tank
3. "I'm gonna blame it on you" rvca tank
4. Insight grey sweater material sleeveless crop top
5. dark grey rvca logo tank
6. slim silver havianas

Besides Rvca, they also had brands like Twnety8Twelve, One Teaspoon, Sass and Bide, and Something else by Natalie Wood just to name a few.

mermaid scales

managed to check into zara's summer sale just in time before all the best pieces were gone. found myself picking up:
i. suede camel colored booties which i've been eyeing and have contemplated buying at full price many a times.
ii. clutch which is reminiscient of mermaid scales
iii. bright neon green/yellow asymmetric sheer sleeveless for a friend's b-day.

i don't dare step back into zara - i fear for my wallet.

jewels.

i. ring storage along with my favorite perfume and two broken watches
ii. vintage earrings which i found in a store that was closing down - managed to bargain the display holder it was hanging off into the price.
iii. forever 21 bracelet and bangle from india.

ever since i've been little, i've grown in and out of collecting things - from stickers to notebooks to clips to headbands, etc. the only thing i've never stopped collecting is: jewellery.

street art

Was pretty surprised seeing these random street art in Hong Kong. The scene is definitely there, just not easily noticeable.
