sane

Just a few things that kept me sane throughout the month of April. But the heavy rainfall decided to flood my room and drown  my laptop because closing the window on a rainy day totally slipped my mind. Even my moleskine planner was completely drenched and unusable. Luckily, everything in my hard drive is recovered, kudos to a techy friend.

first meal of the day are always my favorite meals. Hazelnut butter is like a healthier version of Nutella and i love it.

golden hour

Weather has been unbelievably nice past couple of days. Better soak up the sun from this gorgeous transition to Spring before humidity hits us.

cultural

Being a tourist in the city I grew up in. Went to the more local and cultural part of HK before work one day and realize I should do this more often (when I'm not lazy). It shouldn't always be about Central and Causeway Bay. Districts like Yao ma Tei really kept their essence, there's so much character to the neighborhoods there.

street art

Went a little snap happy after dinner when we found this graffiti filled alley way. Amid the weird crouching and awkward poses, we also learnt that this location was the perfect home to cockroaches as well as a designated dog's lavatory. But hey ho, managed to get a few good snaps.

picnic

The weather over the weekend was very strange, cloudy with tints of sunrays, but just cool enough for a picnic and ultimately capturing an outfit shot. These battered old boots have served me well and they go with absolutely everything. It took a while for them to grow on me as I felt that they truncated my legs, giving a stumpier impression, but works wonders when folding the sides down. Funny how illusions are made.

photo strip.

Met up for an organic healthy dinner at Life Cafe, only to sabotage it afterwards with numerous glasses of alcoholic beverages. Tried to look for locations with interesting lighting, while testing out the many different settings on my new lumix camera - this is what we ended up with.
